Regional Rape Crisis Centre: Project Worker (x 4 part time posts)
Part time & Fixed Term contract: 30 months: Sept 2017 – March 2020
Salary: € 39,819 – €42,667 pro rata
Based in: Kerry, Galway, Wexford and Dublin.
We are recruiting Project Workers to deliver the Manuela Programme (hereafter MP). The MP is a Sexual Violence Awareness Programme developed collaboratively by the Manuela Riedo Foundation and Irish Rape Crisis Centres for use with young people. This Programme is the beneficiary of EU funding and is rolled out in partnership with Tusla: Child and Family Agency. It will run for approximately 30 months with the evaluation of the programme a central goal. We require trainers with a relevant qualification to deliver the programme and support the evaluation process of same. Experience in programme delivery to young people, training, building cross disciplinary relationships and working in the sexual violence field is desirable. Reporting Relationship

Project Worker (for the Manuela Programme) reports to the relevant Centre manager on a day to day basis and to the Manuela Programme Project Coordinator; Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Services Programme, Tusla: Child and Family Agency on all matter relating to EU Project compliance. This EU funded post is administered via Galway Rape Crisis Centre, and as such they are the Project Worker employers. |
Scope and Purpose of the Post

To market, roll out and train and support appropriate staff to deliver the Manuela Programme (a sexual consent and sexual violence prevention programme) within a range of educational settings largely targeting 15-17 year old young people. To network with a range of stakeholders to ensure the development and up take of the programme and its concurrent staff training piece across educational and other settings. To support and administer the evaluation of the Manuela Programme |

Tenure |
This post is for a fixed term of up to 30 months. As the substantive funding for this post arises from funding under the EU Justice programme, a Specified Purpose Contract will apply. Appointment as an employee of the Child & Family Agency is governed by the Child and Family Agency Act, 2013 and the Public Service Management (Recruitment and Appointments) Act 2004.
